  Biography
Hello and welcome to my site, I am delighted that you are here and I hope you find the site useful.
If you have watched the video on the home page then you'll already know a little bit about me but I'll introduce myself properly and tell you about my journey that led me to develop the Supanova group, marketing system and web site.

Cumbria
I was born in the Lake District near to the border with Scotland in 1964. I was raised in a tiny, damp terraced house by my grandparents – my mother left when I was 18 months old and my father was an occasional visitor.

Despite our poverty it was a very happy time for me. My grandma was Italian and cooked fantastic Italian meals of pasta, risotto and wonderful soups and stews. My grandad was Irish and was well respected in our small mining community.

So things were generally going well until I was 11. A series of events, including the death of my grandad resulted in me having to go and live with my father and step mother. Within 2 years we had to leave the small northern town that I had grown up in and move to a city in Yorkshire.

Yorkshire
This move started a very negative period of my life and at 16 Ieft home with poor health, no money and a part time job in the local supermarket. But the previous 5 years had instilled a strong survival instinct in me and before long I was earning enough money to attend the local college on a part time basis.

The course I studied led me to working at an advice centre where I eventually got a full time job as a money advice worker. This job set me on a career path that has led me to where I am today – a successful online marketer.

At 20 I married for the first time and we bought our first house – a tiny terraced house that was much like the one I grew up in.

Working at the advice centre taught me so many valuable skills – how to communicate with all kinds of people, how to negotiate with large organisations and how to work as part of a team. Within 2 years I moved up to the position of trainer and the organisation paid for me to take an adult teaching certificate.

My career
As the years went on my reputation as a trainer developed and I decided to go freelance. By my mid 20s I was competing successfully with well established training and consultancy companies and was winning contract with local authorities, the Health Service and private companies including Yorkshire Water.

Throughout my career I always understood the value of education and continued to attend college and university. I took a business degree and went on to gain a Post Grad Diploma in Management Studies.

By 40 I had held several high level management jobs, had re-married and had 2 wonderful kids – a boy and a girl. From the outside I'm sure my life must have seemed quite rosy. However, from the inside nothing could be further from the truth.

Everything in the garden isn't rosy
Truth is that even though we had a nice house, decent car and could afford regular holidays I was beginning to feel ‘burned out'. My 20 years of corporate UK had certainly taken their toll and despite both me and my husband working hard we were still only just holding our head above water.

I began to take a long hard look at our finances and it was definitely not a pretty picture. Even with 2 good salaries coming in we still never seemed able to get ahead or save, as soon as the money came in it went straight out again.

The crunch came when I sat down and worked out how long it would be till we were debt and mortgage free – in our current situation it was going to take us another 25 years of working before we would be clear.

My heart sank. The thought of working as a lecturer/trainer for another 25 years was more than I could take so I began to look for a way out.

MLM was supposed to save me
I had been briefly introduced to multi-level marketing many years ago when I accompanied a friend to an Amway presentation. The presentation had little impact on me and I soon forgot about it.

But now I turned to the internet and began to research possible business opportunities. After wading through tons of ‘get-rich-quick' rubbish I found a UK based company that seemed to offer a good product so I jumped straight in.

At this stage I had no idea how to attract leads, convert prospects, build a downline or sell the product. So, like many people who join a network marketing company I did what I was told – build a hundred list, buy promotional material and buy leads.

Fast forward a year. I had wasted £3,000 on trying to build my downline, had got shelves full of leaflets and DVDs that nobody wanted to see and a list of leads that weren't even aware that they had asked for information about my business opportunity.

Time to quit
It would have been a sensible decision to just cut my losses and quit at this point. But I am made of sterner stuff and I knew that other people were making a good living from working online.

Once again my research skills came in and I began to search for ways to make my mlm work. I wanted to know how to get real leads, how to capture people's contact information, how to promote my business without having to spend too much money etc.

Gradually over a few months I began to see the bigger picture and I learned that mlm is only one small part of online marketing. I learned that, in fact, there is a far easier way to build up a good residual income that didn't involve trying to recruit anyone.

Social networking and affiliate marketing
In March 2007 I made the most valuable investment that I have ever made in my life – I became a lifetime member of Dennis Karganilla's online marketing training and mentoring programme.

Dennis and other members of the programme taught me everything I needed to learn about social networking and online affiliate marketing.

After 12 months of hard work I now have multiple income streams, an opt-in group with a membership that grows daily, a web site that attracts hits and sign ups 24/7 and a larger monthly income that I earned as a full time employee.

I am now my own boss working from home a few hours a day. I have far more quality time to spend with my family and I have found a new passion for work that I had completely lost as a lecturer/trainer.

We are debt free and can now afford luxury 5* holidays and first class travel. We have a stock broker and a financial advisor and are working together to manage our investments. Me and my husband are now planning seriously for our retirement which will now be a lot sooner than 25 years.

Can I help you?
If you can relate to my story and would like to learn more about social affiliate marketing download the Supanova System guidebook from the free download section of this site. After you read the guide get in touch with me or complete the form of the home page to join the Supanova Superstars.

I hope that you can see from my story that I am just an ordinary middle aged woman living in the north of England with a husband, 2 kids and a dog. Nothing that I do to make money online is beyond the ability of anyone who is looking at my site and it is my passion in life to help others to achieve the financial freedom that me and my family now enjoy.

My mission is to enthuse, empower and encourage as many people as I can to build their own successful online businesses. Are you the next Supanova Superstar?
